Focal Point

Global Taxonomy Initiative

Taxonomy identifies, describes, names and classifies all living organisms, and it is indispensable to protect biodiversity. To support and develop it, the CBD launched the GTI. The Belgian GTI helps emerging countries in building their taxonomical knowledge.
